Canile: verso un
nuovo gestore
Intanto è
nell’occhio del ciclone
l’associazione Pro animale.
Colloquio tra Bartolini e la
Lega nazionale.

Assisi (PG) - Potrebbe
essere la sezione folignate
della Lega nazionale per la
difesa del cane il nuovo
soggetto che gestirà il
canile comprensoriale di
Ponte Rosso: i dettagli sono
ancora da limare ed
un'offerta concreta sarà
presentata forse domani, ma
già venerdì pomeriggio il
presidente Francesco Merulli
ha avuto un colloquio con il
vicesindaco assisiate,
Giorgio Bartolini. Tema, la
possibilità di presentare
una contro offerta a quella
che sarebbe già pervenuta da
Pro animale, per la quale l'Enpa
nazionale - attraverso la
sezione perugina diretta da
Paola Matrignani Tintori -
ha mandato una diffida a
causa di alcune inchieste
cui la Pro animale sarebbe
sottoposta ad Ischia ed in
Germania. La Lega per la
difesa del cane, in Umbria,
già gestisce i canili di
Montefalco e Bevagna, e
sarebbe disponibile anche a
prendere la struttura di
Assisi (usata anche dai
comuni di Bastia Umbra,
Bettona, Cannara e
Valfabbrica), ad alcune
condizioni: "Attualmente,
spiega infatti Merulli, la
struttura ha un costo di
circa 80.000 euro: secondo
noi qualcosa si può
risparmiare e far scendere i
costi a 40-45.000 euro, che
poi sarebbero i termini
della nostra offerta, ma
sarebbe di estrema
importanza se - come già
succede con l'Asl 3 - anche
l'Asl 2 (sotto cui 'ricade'
Assisi) ci potesse garantire
l'assistenza 'minima' oltre
i 60 giorni già previsti,
fermo restando che eventuali
operazioni più 'complicate'
sarebbero coperte con i
fondi per l'associazione".
Da Bartolini, secondo
Merulli (contattato
dall'associazione "Argo &
silvestro", che attualmente
gestisce il canile di
Assisi), è giunta
"un'estrema apertura" e
l'invito a formalizzare
l'offerta presso le sedi
comunali competenti. Il
canile di Assisi - già
finito nei mesi scorsi su tv
e giornali per la vicinanza
con la discarica municipale
- è attualmente oggetto di
lavori di riqualificazione
che migliorino la struttura
e favoriscano l'affido degli
animali. Una richiesta per
gestire la struttura sarebbe
arrivata dalla "Pro
animale", con immediata
diffida dell'Enpa secondo
cui - oltre alle indagini -
l'associazione in questione
farebbe offerte troppo basse
per garantire un corretto
benessere degli animali.
"Nonostante le risposte
evasive del sindaco, fanno
intanto sapere i consiglieri
del Pd Passeri e Travicelli,
torniamo a chiedere
all'amministrazione se
quanto sostenuto dall'Enpa
sia la verità, anche alla
luce di numerose
segnalazioni dei cittadini e
di associazioni nazionali
che, come noi, tengono al
benessere degli animali"

Kennel: toward a new
administrator

the National League in Defense
of Dog in Foligno might be
the new dependant which will
administrate the district
kennel of Ponte Rosso:Detail
still to be defined. Maybe
tomorrow a concrete offer
will be presented,but
Friday afternoon The
President Francesco Merulli got
a meeting with the
vice-Mayor of Assisi,
Giorgio Bartolini. The theme
is the chance to present an
offer to respond to that one
already arrived from "Pro
animale", offer which led
the ENPA -in the person of
Paola Matrignani
Tintori,director of the
section of the Enpa in
Perugia -to send a warn,because
of some inquiries to which
"Pro animale" is submitted
in Ischia and in Germany .
The League for the Defense
of Dog already administrates
the kennels of Montefalco e
Bevagna, and it would be
ready to take Bastia Umbra,
Bettona, Cannara e
Valfabbrica), under some
conditions:
"Currently,-Merulli explains
indeed- tha structure costs
€ 80.000 : according to us,we
can spare some money and
make the costs go down to €
40-45.000 , which are also
the terms of our offer,but
it'd be extremely important
if,just like it already
happens with the Asl 3 [
A.S .L. : Local Sanitary
Establishment] - even Asl 2
(which includes Assisi)
could guarantee to us a
minimum of assistance beyond
the already expected 60
days,however fixing that
some more "complex" surgical
operations would be covered
by the funds of the
association". According to
Merulli (whom has been
contacted by the association"Argo
& silvestro",which actually
administrates the kennel of
Assisi) , Bartolini has
come with "a huge aperture"
and the invitation to
formalize the offer at the
competent municipal offices.
The kennel of Assisi - which
has been brought on TV and
newspaper because of its
proximity to the municipal
garbage unloading -is
currently subject of works
for re-qualification in
order to improve the
structure and encourage the
adoption of the animals.A
request to administrate the
structure has come from
"Pro animale", with the
immediate warn by ENPA
according which -in addition
to the investigations- the
association in question is
making offers which are too
cheap to guarantee a correct
welfare for the animals. "Despite
of the evasive answers by
the Mayor", in the meantime
,Passeri and Travicelli ,counselors
of the Democratic Party(PD)make
people know -"we come back
and ask the administration
if what ENPA stated is the
truth ,even considering the
numerous signals from
Citizens and National
Association , who just like
us,take care of animal
welfare"
